We protect our clients & communities.
Trust and transparency are core elements of our work at Hausmann. Unfortunately, bad actors attempt to misuse our name or mislead others online. This page exists to help you recognize and avoid fraudulent activity so you can stay protected.
Is this common?
Fraud is a well-documented problem in construction. It’s one of the most common threats facing owners, contractors, and job seekers nationwide. With large transactions and complex communication channels that come with building projects, our industry is a frequent target. At Hausmann, we believe awareness is the first line of defense.
Employment Fraud
Our hiring process is straightforward: we will never ask candidates to pay fees, purchase equipment, or share sensitive financial information as a condition of employment. If you receive unsolicited job offers, interview requests from unofficial email addresses, or communications that seem unusual, please confirm with us before responding.
All legitimate job postings are listed officially on our website careers page.
Owner Payment Fraud
We have become aware of third parties attempting to illegally obtain payment through fraudulent email communications. We will never request payment or wire transfers outside of official project communications and verified company channels. If you receive unexpected instructions to redirect payments, change account numbers, or submit funds through unfamiliar methods, please treat it as suspicious and contact your project manager immediately.
Always verify payment requests directly with your Hausmann representative before taking action.
What to do If you suspect fraud
Stop immediately. Do not send money, share details, or continue the communication. Reach out to a verified company contact or call our office directly. Please report any suspicious messages or requests us via the contact form.
