Hausmann is proud to partner on a landmark water infrastructure project that will deliver long-term benefits to communities across southeastern South Dakota. In collaboration with General Excavating and engineering partner SEH, our team was selected through a qualifications-based process to lead the state’s first-ever design-build water project. Commissioned by the Randall Community Water District and supported by Pinpoint as the owner’s representative, the project underscores the power of early collaboration, creative problem-solving, and streamlined delivery.
The $105 million effort includes construction of a 72-mile high-capacity pipeline and upgrades to the Platte Water Treatment Plant. It will serve multiple rural and industrial users, including the City of Mitchell, and provide vital water resiliency across the region. With growing demand and aging infrastructure, the need is urgent—and our team is honored to help deliver a faster, more efficient solution.
