At Wayne State College, Benthack Hall underwent a complete renovation of its 42,000-square-foot facility to support evolving academic programs and improve building performance. The reconfigured layout now serves industrial technology, computer technology, family and consumer sciences, early childhood education, and counseling, with dedicated classrooms, labs, and office spaces tailored to each discipline. Structural upgrades and refreshed interior finishes modernized the building’s appearance and functionality, while a new, clearly defined entry point enhances wayfinding and campus identity. Outdated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were replaced with state-of-the-art, energy-efficient systems fully integrated into the campus control networks, aligning the building with current sustainability and performance standards.
