The City of Aurora is developing a new, purpose-built Aurora Animal Shelter to better serve the community with modern animal care, adoption, and support spaces. The project is being built on an approximately five-acre portion of a 19-acre, city-owned site. The 35,000–40,000 square-foot facility and supporting site improvements will provide the City with a durable, community-serving facility built to meet the needs of Aurora’s residents and animals for years to come.
