Heartland Community Schools Additions & Renovations

Henderson,

The Heartland Community Schools project delivered a comprehensive series of improvements across the campus, combining 107,238 square feet of renovations with 20,033 square feet of new construction. The work expanded and modernized key educational, administrative, and athletic spaces while improving safety, accessibility, and long-term building performance.

Interior improvements included a renovated main entry designed to support secure access and upgraded administration offices, along with a new activities entrance and concession area to better serve students and visitors during events. The project also added a new daycare and pre-school building, four new classrooms, a weight room, training room, and new locker rooms. Building-wide upgrades included HVAC improvements, new gymnasium bleachers, and fire alarm and fire sprinkler upgrades throughout both new and existing facilities.

Site enhancements extended the impact beyond the building envelope, with construction of a new access road, improved stormwater drainage, and athletic upgrades including new long jump and high jump pits. Playground equipment was relocated and upgraded with new surfacing, rounding out a campus-wide investment that supports daily learning, extracurricular activities, and community use for years to come.
