Constructed simultaneously with another school for the district, Medary Elementary is a 92,000-square-foot addition built within fifteen feet of the existing occupied school, along with the renovation of a 14,000-square-foot commons area. The design enhances learning through classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology, an early childhood education wing with its own secure entrance, and dedicated collaboration spaces both within each section and throughout the building. Administrative areas include staff offices, a nurse’s room, a conference room, and a staff break room, creating a supportive environment for educators and staff.
Shared amenities include a new commons and cafeteria with a full commercial kitchen, a gymnasium with bleachers, a library and media center, and a large new district board room. A secure main entry prioritizes student safety, while the site features surfaced courts, rubber playground surfacing, green space, and outdoor learning areas designed to extend education beyond the classroom.
