The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Track & Field and Bus Barn project delivered a purpose-built competition facility for Husker Athletics following an earlier relocation of the track. The new venue was designed to support high-level collegiate competition while integrating seamlessly with the broader athletic campus.
The facility includes two primary buildings connected by a 2,500-seat grandstand. The North building houses media and timing operations, scoreboard controls, an announcer booth, an indoor throws area, and equipment storage, supporting meet-day operations and athlete preparation. The South building provides athlete support spaces, concessions, hospitality areas, and a rooftop viewing deck, creating an enhanced experience for competitors, staff, and spectators alike.
Together, the buildings and grandstand establish a complete, competition-ready venue that meets Big Ten Conference standards, qualifying Nebraska Track & Field to host Big Ten Championships. The project reinforces the university’s commitment to athletic excellence while delivering a functional, durable facility designed for long-term use and flexibility.
