Wayne Community Schools Early Learning Center & High School

Wayne,

The Wayne Community Schools project delivered major improvements across both the high school and elementary campus, combining new construction with extensive renovations to support evolving educational programs. At the high school, a new two-story addition expanded academic space with modern science classrooms and a dedicated agriculture classroom, while renovations were completed throughout the actively occupied building.

Significant upgrades enhanced both instructional and extracurricular spaces, including a fully renovated theatre with new lighting, sound systems, acoustic wall panels, seating, stage curtains, and rigging. The project also expanded the wrestling practice area and strength and fitness facility, updated the fire alarm system throughout the building, and completed site improvements such as paving the previously graveled parking lot to improve access and circulation.

On the elementary side, a new 46,000-square-foot precast Early Learning Center was constructed to serve PK–2 students. The building includes a gymnasium, secure main entrance, reception and administrative offices, commons and cafeteria space, a media center, and general classrooms.
